I can't breathe. Shit, I can't fucking breathe. My lungs don't have enough room to fully expand and I'm starting to lose control of myself. I've been in this gear for going on ten hours now and I'm starting to feel trapped. I take as deep a breath as I can and slowly let it out, trying to calm myself. It's 120 degrees out here, but my skin feels cold and clammy. The buildings and streets in front of me tilt sideways, as if they're trying to turn themselves over. I reach around and pull my drinking tube to my mouth and drink until my vision steadies. "The fuck is wrong with you?" Elzicks asks as he walks by adjusting his weapon.
"Nothing, just shut the hell up and get up on the gun" I shake my head vigorously back and forth like a dog and head towards the truck. I'm exhausted. We've been here searching house to house all damn day for some guy whose name I can barely pronounce. So far we haven't found shit, not even a single illegal weapon. It's days like this I hate the most. I hate this place in general, but coming out here and not finding anything makes me feel useless.
I climb up into the truck, using all of my weight to pull the door shut. Putting my headset on I can hear Elzicks singing off key. Looking back I see him swaying back and forth in the turret and the tell-tale white cord of his iPod hanging down. I switch my mic on and slap the back of his leg. "Turn that shit off and stay icy up there. We haven't even left yet, Douchebag." He kicks my hand off and pulls his legs up into the turret. "Dumbass" I flick a few switches and the HMMWV roars to life.
The passenger doors opens and Sergeant Warren throws himself into the seat. "Let's roll, I'm tired and ready to rub one out."
"You got it Sarge" I shift the truck into drive and follow the truck in front of me out onto the main MSR. "You know, it already feels like we've been here forever, but we've still got another six months to go." Just as I finish my sentence a huge blast assaults my ears. The truck in front of us is swallowed in a storm of smoke and fire. I yell out as I slam on the breaks, watching the windshield crack from the force of the bast. I look over and Sarge is already on the radio.
"2-1, 2-1, this is 2, are you okay?" No answer. "2-1, 2, answer me damnit!" Still no traffic follows.
"Fuck this, Sergeant. I'm goin' up." Before he can protest I grab my M4, jump out, and sprint off into the smoke.

Re: Untitled - Part 1Agreed that was kinda good,, Who am I kidding that was great!!
>.> -*Death stare*- if you do not create a part 2 i would be very angry, (and sad T.T) Being stronger, more powerfull and victorious above all is True peace!
,but if peace is a lie there is no strenth, power or victory, only passion, passion for defeat. No, true power, strenth and victory lies in UNITY. For Unity is peace
Re: Untitled - Part 1Thanks guys. We're in the transition stages of coming home so since I've got nothing to do I'll be working on getting part two up and running.
